Port Blair, May 09: In order to finalized the action plan for allotment of reserved seats in professional, technical, non-technical courses at mainland institutions during the year 2012-13, a meeting was held in the chamber of the Commissioner & Secretary (Edn.) last week. The Commissioner & Secretary (Edn.), Mr. BS Bhalla chaired the meeting while the representatives from the concerned departments attended the meeting.
To conduct the task of allotment seats in a transparent and fair manner, some modifications have been made in the application forms. The forms will be made available at the respective offices of outstations; common service centres (CSCs) and can also be downloaded from the website of A&N Administration. The candidates can also avail forms from the Development IV Section of Secretariat and can also use photocopies of the application forms. The distribution of the forms will be held from May 28 to June 20, 2012 while the last date of receipt of filled in applications from the students would be June 20, 2012.
The time schedule for distribution of application forms, submission of application forms, scrutiny of eligibility, display of provisional merit list for claims and objections and final merit list by NIC and A&N Administration etc. will be separately notified. The provisional and final merit list will be published in the website of A&N Administration. The counselling and allotment of seats will be held in JNRM, Port Blair, a communication from the Assistant Secretary (HE) said here today.
