Campbell Bay, March 13: Scuffle between a group of public and police have been reported from Campbell Bay Island today after some people protested against the rationing of liquor from ANIIDCO Wine Shop, Campbell Bay.
As per sources, the ANIIDCO Wine Shop of Campbell Bay today opened the shop too late and secondly the shop has been selling the liquor in a limited quantity i.e one bottle each person that too after verifying the name, occupation of the customer etc by the ANIIDCO staffs.
Today when a person came to buy second bottle from the ANIIDCO wine shop and when the staffs refused to entertain him, an argument began between him and the staffs of ANIIDCO Wine Shop.
Soon others on the queue came to the support of the person and the argument took the shape of minor protest by public.
It is learnt that when Police reached to control the situation some of the people had scuffle with Policemen.
