Port Blair, Feb 17: The Up-Adhyaksh of South Andaman Zilla Parishad, Mr Subir Chander and Zilla Parishad member of Campbell Bay, Mr Gagandeep Singh Grewal met the Director General of Police, Mr Rajesh Malik recently and apprised him of various problems being faced by the unemployed youth of Campbell Bay due to certain provisions in the recruitment rules of the Police Department. During the meeting, the Zilla Parishad members said that travelling from far-flung islands like Campbell Bay to attend the written examination and physical trade test for different vacancies in the Police Department leads to considerable loss of time and money of the unemployed youth and requested the DGP to conduct the written test and physical test on the same day. The Director General of Police is stated to have assured to do the needful in the matter.
