Port Blair, Feb 10: NCC Directorate Tamilnadu, Pondichery and Andaman and Nicobar Islands is organizing a National Integration Camp at Brichgunj, Port Blair from 09 Feb to 20 Feb 16. A total 180 cadets including 38 Girl cadets and 57 boy cadets from Andaman Nicobar Islands and 85 cadets (51 Girl cadets and 34 boy cadets) from the Mainland representing all the states of India will be participating in this camp.
The aim of the camp is to foster spirit of National Integration and give young boys and girls from the main land a rare opportunity to visit these Islands and for the cadets from the Islands to mingle with the youth from length and breadth of the country and experience the cultural and linguistic variety the country offers. It also aims at developing spirit of adventure, leadership qualities and discovers their innate capabilities by overcoming mental and physical challenges and give them a feeling of self confidence and achievement.
During the camp these cadets will be visiting all the important places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and will be taking part in group discussions, quiz competitions, cultural competitions and give presentation on their states for the benefit of all. They will also have personality development and career counseling sessions and will be participating in sports and games.
These cadets who come as complete strangers will leave as great friends which probably will last for a life time. The Camp will be inaugurated by Camp Commandant Colonel KP Hebbar Group Commander NCC Gp HQ Madras ‘A’, Chennai on 10 Feb 16.
