Port Blair, Jan 29: To create awareness amongst farmers in South Andaman, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Andaman and Nicobar Regional Office, Port Blair, will organize a workshop on “Farmer Producer Organisations” and Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS) as Multi-Service Centre (MSC)” at 10 am on Feb 1, 2016 at Tagore Auditorium, Tagore Government College of Education, Middle Point. Around, 250 farmers and 50 representatives from Primary Agricultural Credit Societies of South Andaman District, representatives of NGOs and officials of Union Territory Administration are expected to participate in the workshop. The concepts on formation of Farmer Producer Organisations and the avenues for PACS to function as Multi-Service Centres will be discussed in the workshop.
