Diglipur, 23 Jan: On the Birth Anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose, Subhash Mela was inaugurated at Sitanagar Gram panchayat at Diglipur by Asst. Commissioner Diglipur Shri. A K Trivedi.
The five days 52nd Subhash Mela is organized at Play ground of Govt. Middle School at Sitanagar.
Every year this mela being organized in the memory of great freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose.
The Asst. Commissioner lit the ceremonial lamp to inaugurate the mela and garlanded the portrait of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
He also visited all the stalls which have been put up at Mela. CHC Diglipur also put up a stall in this mela. The AC said that Melas are not only sources of entertainment, but it promotes friendly relationship and brotherhood among the people.
Through the Mela, activities of different departments are being brought to the knowledge of the people under one roof. In this occasion Asst Commissioner facilitated the mother Renubala Poddar whose son Dhiren Poddar martyred during Kargil war.
At the end a cultural programme was presented by the villagers.
Chief Medical Officer Mrs. Jai Biswas, Pradhan Sitanagar, Ms. Bulbul Mistry , SHO Diglipur, Samiti member Mrs. Seema Majhi were also present on this occasion.
