Port Blair, May 04: Greed of Human Beings never ends and best example of this could be seen in South Andaman region, where many people are openly violating building plan norms, to make maximum use of their house sites.
In most of the cases set backs are left only in papers and building is constructed right upto the main road. In many cases building are constructed very close to electric poles and transformers without even thinking about the safety of human lives.
This photo available with Andaman Sheekha shows how a house has been built around an electric pole at Nausad Colony of Garacharma and there is no one to check this gross violation of norms.
These kind of violations are seen more in those places, which are situated outside municipal area. As there is no solid mechanism available with Panchayats to check such violations of building plan norms, people are openly violating norms and also risking lives of others.
