Port Blair, Jan 8: A contingent of 29 member of Andaman & Nicobar Forest Sports Team participated in the recently held 22nd All India Forest Sports Meet, 2015 at Bengaluru. The team participated in various events like, Football Athletic, Rifle Shooting, lawn Tennis & Badminton etc.
Mr Pradeep Mondal, Forest Guard has secured a Silver Medal in Rifle Shooting (Standing Position) in open category while Smt. Jayashree Ardey Chauhan, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests secured a Bronze Medal in Lawn Tennis (Single) in Women (Senior Veteran) category. The football team gave a hard fight in semi-final against Goa in tie-breaker and was ranked 4th in the meet.
