Port Blair, Dec 30: The JNRM Unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) mobilized Rs 1,03,112/- for the Relief fund for the flood and rain victims of Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu. The donation was collected by the members of ABVP from the students and faculty members of colleges JNRM, ANCOL, TGCE, DBRAIT and ITI and also from the business community and the general public in the city. The amount were collected in a collection box and was handed over to Dr Anjani Kumar Srivastava, the President of ABVP, A&N Islands at JNRM in the presence of the senior faculty member and Associate Professor in Geography Dr R G S Bhagel, Dr Kanwar Chadradeep Singh, Assistant Professor and Head, History and Mr K Venkatesan, Assistant Professor & Head, Home Science. Dr.Kandimuthu Appreciated the members of ABVP and conveyed his gratitude to all who have generously contributed for cause of relief. The amount was deposited in account of Elaya Bharatham Seva Trust, Tamil Nadu, managed by ABVP Tamil Nadu which is exclusively working for restoration and settlement of flood victims.
