Port Blair, Dec 29: Shri Krishnapal Gurjar, the Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India, arrived at Port Blair on 28th December, 2015 on a three-day visit to the Islands.
The Minister held meeting with officers of Urban Development/Rural Development/Social Welfare/Tribal Welfare/PBMC regarding the implementation of the schemes being run by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, in the conference hall of ANTRI and also with the Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray.
The Minister will be meeting with the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands at Raj Niwas on 30th December, 2015. He will also address a press conference in the conference hall of Megapode Resort on 30th December, 2015 at 1630 hours.
On completion of visit, the Minister will leave for the mainland on 31st December, 2015.
