Port Blair, Dec 22: The Indian Coast Guard Station, Mayabunder conducted mass awareness drive at Betapur village under Shivapuram Panchayat in coordination with District Administration, Police, Forest and Fisheries departments to spread awareness on safety at sea and various aspects involving Coastal Security for the fishermen and local populace. The community interaction was attended by Pradhan, Shivapuram Panchayat along with PRI members, Representative of Fisheries department, Forest, Police and CID Billiground. During the interaction, a detailed presentation on safety at sea was given to the attendees. Fishermen were also given demonstration on various life saving safety aspects.
