Port Blair, Dec 21: The Adhyaksha, South Andaman Zilla Parishad, Smt Minati Biswas, visited Govt. Middle School, Manglutan recently to take stock of issues. The Adhyaksha observed that due to shortage of classrooms, students from Class I to VIII of four mediums, English, Hindi, Bengali and Tamil, are facing difficulties. Atleast 12 additional classrooms are required to be constructed to accommodate the students of the school. Later, in a letter to the Director of Education, Smt Biswas requested for early construction of 12 classrooms, speed breakers, pucca railings and boundary walls, appointment of security guards for the benefit of the students.
Smt Minati Biswas also congratulated Mridula Shah, Class XI student of Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Port Mout for being selected in the State Level Science Congress and to represent the school in the National Level Children’s Science Congress to be held at Chandigarh University, Mohali from Dec 27-30, 2015.
