Port Blair, December 20: The Pahargaon Police here has cracked the murder case, reported from Telugu Basti, Dollygunj on 18.12.2015, within 13 hours.
According to reports, following an information about a 45-50 year man of Telugu Basti, Dollygunj found dead inside his house on 18.12.2015 at 4:30pm, Pahargaon Police team rushed to Telugu Basthi, Dollygunj with dog squad team.
Andaman Sheekha had learnt that after interrogation with the family members, neighbour of the victim, checking the call details and thorough investigation, the police team headed by Mr. R K Sharma, SHO, PS Pahargaon, under the overall supervision of Dy.S.P South Andaman, Mohd. Aslam caught the accused.
It is learnt that the wife of the victim was allegedly having some relationship with the accused namely Manimaran, 35 years a resident of School Line, Ranchi Basthi, which is the prime reason behind this Murder.
The accused was arrested yesterday and sources have confirmed that the accused has accepted the fact that the murder was committed by him.
The police has also recovered the Murder weapon.
The accused was produced in the court today, from where he has been sent to the judicial custody.
