Port Blair, Dec 18: The Chairperson, Municipal Council, Smt Sheela Singh in the presence of Secretary, Councillors, senior PBMC officials and officials from IT Department launched e-service system on Friday at Dairy Farm in the Common Service Centre (CSC). Subsequent the launch, urban citizen can now pay their taxes viz Water charges and Conservancy charges through the CSCs. The urban residents of Port Blair have to pay Rs. 5/- per transaction to the CSC for the service being rendered by them.
Customers who will be visiting CSC’s to pay their Municipal charges have been requested to be aware of their customer ID at the time of making payment. Other facilities such as payment of property tax, e-forms etc will be appended within this financial year. It is Council’s earnest endeavor to achieve excellence in service for our urban citizens and we implore you to avail the facilities and pay the taxes through the centre, a release says.
