Port Blair, Dec 17: The Municipal Council will commence collection of segregated garbage in Ward no. 14 from Oct 18, 2015 from 7 am to 9 am from source level and households. The residents of Ward no. 14 have been urged to cooperative with the sanitary workers and hand over Wet and Dry Waste separately to make the mission for maintaining the environment ‘Clean and Green’ successful. Organic garbage include kitchen and garden waste, dry waste include plastics, paper, metal, glass and e-waste, while sanitary garbage include sanitary napkins, diapers, bandages, nails, expired medicines, blades, razors, user syringes, paints, soiled plastic etc.
