Port Blair, May 03: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, INTUC, in a letter addressed to the Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council has demanded immediate implementation of the revised minimum rates of daily wages payable to various categories of workers as promulgated by the A & N Administration vide Labour Commissioner’s Order No. 16/1/MW/2008/177 dated 16th January 2012. He also request that the arrears accrued for the month of January, February & March 2012 be paid at the earliest.
