Port Blair, Dec 07: The A & N Administration has taken a serious view of the unruly behaviour of certain students who are accommodated at Andaman Bhavan, Chennai. It was learnt that a group of students have been instigating others and trying to take the law into their own hands, demanding they may be allowed to travel in the first chartered flight to Port Blair. These students were not holding any tickets of the chartered flight which was cancelled due to heavy rains and flooding in Chennai. Hon’ble Lt Governor has asked for a report in this matter and, if found true, action as per law will be taken.
Separately, Secretary (Home & Civil Aviation), has been asked to call up the parents of the students in Port Blair to explain the conduct of their wards. The DRC, Chennai has been asked to deal with the situation firmly and not allow this handful of the students to take law into their own hands.
