The Armed Forces Flag Day is an occasion to pay tribute to the indomitable courage and dedication of our soldiers and to express our gratitude and appreciation for the valiant soldiers both serving and veterans, by raising the “Armed Forces Flag Day Fund”.
To mark this occasion stickers and token flags are distributed in return for generous voluntary participation and magnanimous support for “Armed Force Flag Day Fund” which is utilized for the welfare and benefit of the widows, disabled soldiers, ex-serviceman and their dependants.
It is, therefore, be-fitting for all Islanders to contribute generously towards the noble cause to reinforce solidarity with our Armed Forces. It also reassures our Defence Personnel that the entire Nation is behind them.
I convey my best wishes to all those who are associated with the welfare of the Indian Armed Forces.
