Port Blair, Dec 04: The Tourism Department is about to finalize the names of Bollywood artists for coming Island Tourism Festival and as per sources there are great chances that this time the Tourism Department may select artists, who have already come to Andaman and have performed in past. This will certainly mean major disappointment this year too.
It seems that the final list, there are names of singers who presently have comparatively less market value in Bollywood and also singers who have not given any hit song in last two years.
Sadly those singers who are young and have good market value, feature down below the list, sources said.
It has been learnt that Bollywood singers like Vinod Rathod and Amit Kumar may get an opportunity this year over present hit singers like Kunal Ganjawala and Javed Ali, because of some kind of rating system adopted by Tourism Department .
Islanders demand immediate intervention of Lt. Governor in this matter so that only best, young and hit singer is brought to these Islands.
Last year due to similar mistake people of these Islands were deeply disappointment and 80 percent of the audience had left the venue during the show.
Hopefully this time only young and current artists will be invited for ITF show.
After all, the huge amount of Rs. 19 – 22 Lakh is hard earned Tax-Payers’ money and this amount is not a small amount.
