Port Blair, Nov 26: The Constitution Day and 125th Birthday Anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar was celebrated at IGNOU Regional Centre Port Blair on Thursday. Dr. S.Vijayaragavan, Regional Director I/c presided over the function and he emphasized that the contribution of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar towards the nation is remarkable achievement. The pioneer of social awakening, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar had several successful innings in his career. His dynamic personality, disciplined life oriented by consistent hard work, greatly impressed the people of India and also the leaders. Infact, he studied the deep rooted problems of the peoples.The contribution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar to develop the India in a constructive way in all aspects for betterment of the Nation. He was contributed more while he was a First Law Minister of India, and he is a good educationist and he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Science (Economics) for his studies in monetary economics and passed his Bar-at-Law Examination of Gray’s Inn, London. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was a great educationist and sociologist, he said.
The Regional Director also offered the floral tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s portrait. All the staff at RC attended the function.
