Port Blair, November 23: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr Bishnu Pada Ray has requested the Secretary Education to rectify the discrepancies alleged in the recruitment process for the post of Librarian-Grade-II.
In a letter addressed to the Secretary Education, Mr Bishnu stated that recently a group of eligible candidates who in response to the vacancy notice published in “The Daily Telegrams” 17.04.2015 have applied for the post of Librarian-Grade-II in the Education Department met him alleging that the selection process initiated by the department was not proper and not confirming to the provision of Recruitment Rules in-forced.
The candidate in support of RRs and the vacancy notice which was published in The Daily Telegram dated 17.04.2015 alleged that the requirement professional experience as sought for in the vacancy notice is not confirming to the condition stipulate in the RRs enforced. It is also reported that, after having examination of claim/objection of the individual to the provisional merit list, the department did not displayed the final merit list of the eligible candidates.
MP further requested the Secretary Education to intervene in the matter to find out the factual position of the issue before starting the verification of certificates of eligible candidates. The MP also requested the Secretary Education that until the aforesaid discrepancies is rectified and the further direction of the Hon’ble Court is received, the selection procedure may be kept in abeyance.
