Port Blair, Nov 18: The Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers, New Delhi is observing 19th November, 2015 as “All India Protest Day” to press upon the Government of India to resolve the long pending legitimate demands of Central Government Employees.
As a part of the nationwide protest, the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, A & N Islands is organizing ‘Mass Demonstration’ all over the islands on 19th November, 2015.
At Port Blair the Association is organizing a Mass Demonstration in front of the Secretariat Gate at 4 p.m. in support of the 10-point Charter of demands which include (i) Wage revision from 01.01.2014 (ii) No privatization, PPP or FDI in Railways and Defence (iii) No Ban on recruitment/creation of post (iv) Scrap PFRDA Act (New Pension Scheme) (v) Ensure five promotions etc.
