Port Blair, Nov 18: The Government of India has launched a flagship scheme namely ‘Housing for All’ to address the housing requirement of urban poor including slum dwellers. The mission will support construction of houses upto 30 square meter carpet area with basic civic infrastructure.
To assess the actual Housing requirement and beneficiaries, the PBMC has invited applications eligible beneficiaries. As per the eligibility criteria, the beneficiary should be residing within the Port Blair Municipal area and the beneficiary family should not own a pucca house either in his/her name or in the name of any member of his/her family in any part of India to be eligible to receive central assistance under the mission. The beneficiary family should comprise husband, wife, unmarried sons and/or unmarried daughters.
Those, who fulfill the criteria, may apply in the prescribed application form before Dec 2, 2015. The application forms are available in Reception counter of PBMC Office (Ground Floor). Filled in application form shall be submitted to the Secretary , PBMC, Indira Bhavan (PBMC Main Office), or in the nearest site office of PBMC before the deadline.
