Port Blair, Nov 17: The prestigious 61st SGFI National School Football Championship for Girls U-17 is scheduled to be held from Nov 21-29, 2015. The Directorate of Education here will organize the championship. The opening ceremony of the mega event comprising colourful cultural programmes, mass drills etc will be on Nov 21 at 3 pm at Netaji Stadium and matches will be played at Netaji Stadium and JNRM Football ground from Nov 21-29. Altogether, 21 teams from different States and UTs namely CBSE Welfare Sports Association, A & N Islands, Vidhya Bharati, Manipur, Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra, Haryana, IPSC, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Bihar, Goa, Telengana, Punjab, Uttarakand, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Madya Pradesh will participate in the championship. The closing ceremony, grand finale and prize distribution will be held on Nov 29, 2015 at Netaji Stadium.
