Port Blair, Nov 12: A youth of Link Road, Port Blair today committed suicide by hanging himself inside the government quarter of his parents.
Mr. Saroj Kumar Saujal, 26 years, a driver of private vehicle committed suicide this afternoon after returning from his duty for lunch. But after lunch when he did not return to duty and someone came to call him, he found Saroj Kumar Saujal hanging inside his house.
Sources said that Saujal was disturbed because of his marital problems but he did not leave any suicide note behind.
There is a clear indication that suicide cases are on the rise in Andaman and yet another case of suicide in Andaman somewhere proves that measures taken up by Administration to discourage suicide, are simply not enough.
