Port Blair, Nov 8: The Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Government of India, Kolkata in collaboration with the Department of Art and Culture will organize NAVODIT-Festival of Music and dance by Young artists at Port Blair from Nov 13-15, 2015. Classical Dancers from member-states of EZCC will participate in the festival. The Department of Art and Culture has been asked to finalize 6 classical artists from these islands to take part in the festival. In this connection, the Department of Art and Culture invites applications from the classical dancers and Singers, preferably national scholarship or Fellowship holder and others between the age group of 18-35 years to perform solo/group dance/songs in the festival. Application in plain paper may be submitted along with bio-data to the Director (Art & Culture), A&N Administration, Cellular Jail Complex latest by 10th November 2015 by 3 p.m.
A four days’ workshop on Bharatnatyam will also be organized by EZCC from Nov 13-16, 2015 at Port Blair. Renowned Classical Dancer from EZCC will be the resource person.
