Port Blair, Nov 3: The Armed Forces Flag Day – 2015 will be observed on Dec 7, 2015 throughout the country in memory of the brave heart soldiers of Army, Navy and Air Force. The “Armed Forces Flag Day” is celebrated every year to honour the valiant martyrs who sacrificed their lives fighting for the Nation. The Armed Forces Flag Day is enthusiastically celebrated throughout the country. It is a tribute to the courageous soldiers. The Nation salutes the veterans and the brave soldiers who served the Nation in their youth.
Token flags and car stickers are being distributed through various Schools/Colleges and Government Organizations/Departments by A&N Rajya Sainik Board for raising funds for various welfare schemes to assist our disabled soldiers, their widows and dependents of those who sacrificed their lives for the Nation.
Citizens have been requested to renew their solidarity with the Armed Forces of the Nation by contributing generously. Send your contributions to Secretary, Rajya Sainik Board by cash/cheque/DD in favour of “Armed Forces Flag Day Fund” A/c. No. 10605083942 which is exempted under Income Tax Act.
