Port Blair, Nov 02: On the occasion of 140 Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31 Oct 104 NCC cadets of Army and Naval NCC Units carried out march past at Port Blair. 31 Oct is also been declared as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas by the Government to honour Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the first Home Minister and Deputy prime Minister of Independent India. He is latter known as ‘Iron man of India’ because of his strict policies to accede princely states to India.
