Port Blair, Apr 26: A fire was reported from an electric transformer, situated between Boys’ School and Industries Department at around 3.50 PM.
According to report the fire erupted while staffs of electricity department were doing some works with the fuse of the transformer, which resulted in short circuit.
The matter was immediately reported to Fire Services and the fire was doused within 20 minutes by the Fire Services.
