Port Blair, Oct 29: The Nation is celebrating the 140th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as Rastriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on 31st October 2015.
In this connection the Department of Sports is organizing a Run for Unity on 31st Oct, 2015 starting from Netaji Stadium main gate at 06.30 am Clock Tower – Model School – Post Office – Bengali Club – Chief Engineer Office – Light House opposite of LIC Building – Gandhi Statue – Clock Tower – Narayan Chowk finishing at Netaji Stadium main gate.
The Lt. Governor, A&N Islands Lt. Gen A.K. Singh, (Retd), will flag off the run.
All the interested participants are requested to report by 6.00 am on 31st Oct, 2015 at Netaji Stadium main gate. Refreshment will be provided at Netaji Stadium, Port Blair.
