Port Blair, Oct 16: On 15.10.2015 on receipt of information from reliable sources the South Andaman District team raided a place used for gambling at Prem Nagar near Children’s Park, and apprehended seven persons namely Gopal (25) yrs, R/o Nayagaon (2) Deep Singh (24) yrs, (3) Rahul (24) yrs, (4) Monty (24) yrs, (5) Shiva Kumar (25) yrs, (6), (7) Deepak (25) yrs & (7) Kappaiah (30) yrs all R/o Prem Nagar and recovered Rs. 9110/- including board money and other incriminating articles.
Similarly on the same day another raid was conducted at Vijay Raj Bahadur House at Nayagaon, by the same team and apprehended three persons namely Rajesh Bahadur (34)yrs, (2) V. Shiva Kumar both R/o Port Mout & (3) Vijay Raj Bahadur (45) yrs R/o Nayagaon and recovered Rs. 72,200/- cash including board money and other incriminating articles. All of them have been booked under A & N Islands Gambling Regulation, 1951 at PS Aberdeen.
