I convey my best felicitations to all personnel and families of the Andaman and Nicobar Command on the occasion of its 15th Raising Day.
Owing to the strategic location of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and increasing interest and activities of Extra Regional Forces in the Indian Ocean Region, ANC – the only Unified Theatre Command of the country is gaining in importance day by day. This unique Command, since its inception in 2001, has shown indomitable spirit and a sense of purpose in the last 14 years which have been marked with notable achievements. The synergy exhibited between the A&N Administration and the Command in all spheres of activities is praiseworthy.
The people of Andaman & Nicobar Islands are greatly reassured by the presence and continued effectiveness of the Command. On behalf of the people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, I wish all personnel of the Andaman and Nicobar Command and their families success in all their endeavors.
