Diglipur, Sep 27: Elephant again caused havoc in Diglipur Island. According to reports again on 25 September an elephant had entered the paddy field of Binod Biswas and Biren Sarkar of Krishnapuri village of Diglipur and destroyed standing crop spread over an area of one hector of paddy field. Initial report says that the elephant was feral.
When the matter was reported to police and Forest Department the staffs of both the department reached the spot and drove away the elephants using crackers.
As per reports on 20th September two elephants of Forest Department had entered inside the paddy field of Jaganath Dera area and destroyed crop.
