Kalighat, Sep 20: A five year old boy today died due to drowning in a nallah of Narayan Tikry while his aunt, his guardian, had gone for casting her vote.
According to report the five year old boy, a student of Primary School used to live with his aunt at Narayan Tikry, under Kalighat Panchayat while his actual parents used to live in Austin-2.
Narayan Tikry is a remote village and one has to travel for half an hour by dinghy from Kalighat to reach the village.
According to report the aunt of the five year old had gone to cast her vote yesterday and was supposed to return by evening.
Waiting for his aunt, the boy was going towards Donghyghat of Narayan Tikry all alone and while crossing a nallah he reportedly died.
A case has been registered at PS Kalighat and the matter is under investigation.
