Diglipur, September 18: As the canvassing period for the forth coming Panchayat elections are over, the election machinery has geared up for final arrangements.
The administration engaged 20 jeeps, 10 buses, one boat and 7 Dingies to connect the polling personnel with the far flung polling station at Diglipur Tehsil. Special arrangements were made to reach Ganesh Nagar, Shanti nagar, Sagar Dweep, Shyam Nagar etc.
Suitable stay for the 152 Presiding Officers was made to stay during the elections.
Uninterrupted Power supply will be provided by the Electricity Department during the elections. The Power House at Sitanagar, The NHPC at Nabagram is providing power in these days.
The DG set is kept standby at Administrative Building at Diglipur during the day of distribution and counting. Proper lighting arrangements were made at all polling stations. Govt Senior Secondary School, Diglipur will function as a strong room and counting station for these elections.
Sector police officers along with concerned RO are patrolling round the clock in Diglipur.
RO had completed final inspection of the polling stations. Proper medical facilities is been made during the distribution, collection and counting by the administration.
