Port Blair, September 18: Seventy bottles of liquor has been seized by the Humphrygunj Police from the house of Mrs Shama Halder a Pradhan candidate of Bharthiya Janta Party contesting from Guptapahara today at 05:30pm.
As per sources, during preliminary inquiry the party worker allegedly revealed that the said candidate had brought 300 bottles in a truck loaded with sand. Sources further said that nearly 70 bottles which were left after distributing were seized from the house of MrsShamaHalder.
Police is investigating into the matter it is learnt.
