Port Blair, Sept 18: The Traffic Police conducted an introductory course on road safety and traffic control for NCC cadets of Army and Naval NCC Units from Sept 14-18, 2015. Altogether, 55 NCC cadets participated in the training of which fifty percent were female cadets. The instructors from the Traffic Police explained basics of road safety and traffic signals to NCC cadets to include Traffic Symbol Signs, Road Symbol Signs, Road Traffic Symbols etc.
During the training, cadets were given practical exposure and deployed at different traffic post under the guidance of traffic police. The NCC cadets showed keen interest in the training and were motivated to spread awareness among the civil society. The Commanding Officers of Army and Naval NCC Units expressed gratitude to the Traffic Police for the initiative and assistance provided to the NCC cadets during the training.
