Port Blair, Sept 16: The Indian Meteorological Department, Kolkata has forecast heavy rain (07-12cm) at isolated places over A&N Islands in the next 24 hours and heavy to very heavy rain (07-24 cm) at isolated places over A&N Islands from Sept 18 to 19, 2015.
Under the influence of moderate to strong South West monsoon current strong Southwest to Westerly wind speed between 35 and 45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph and generally rough to very rough seas likely along and off Andaman and Nicobar coast. Fishermen have been advised not to venture in to the sea. Local Cautionary Signal No-III hoisted at Port Blair Port due to markedly squally weather.
