Port Blair, Sept 16: All the appointed Polling Officers and deputed on duty to little Andaman, Neil and Havelock Islands have been informed that the DSS has been requested to schedule voyage for various out-stations. Accordingly, a vessel has been scheduled to sail for Hut Bay on Sept 18 at 8 pm and polling officials have been advised to report by 5 pm on the day of sailing. Two vessels will sail for Neil Island and Havelock at 2 pm on Sept 18 and polling officials have to report by 12 noon.
Tickets for the sailings have been reserved and may be collected from the Tehsildar, Port Blair on payment basis. Further all the appointed Polling Officers are requested to report on the date and time mentioned at Col.4 to the Tehsildar, Port Blair without fail, for further movement from District Office to Harbour, which will be arranged by the District Administration. No excuse will be entertained in any case. The DPME is extending all possible assistance to the officers deployed on duty to inter islands.
