Port Blair, Sept 14: On the occasion of Hindi Diwas a special programme was organised at All India Radio, Port Blair. The Chief Guest Dr.R.N.Rath, Eminent educationist & Rtd Principal, Mahatma Gandhi College, Mayabandar elaborated the role played by All India Radio in popularising Hindi and also shared his experience.
Dr.Uma Shankar Jha, Head of Office urged the staff members to use simple Hindi so that everybody can understand it and be encouraged to use Hindi. Shri D.V.S.Deep, Deputy Director(News) & Shri.S.Elangovan, Assit Director(E) also spoke on the occasion. Ms. Sanam, Programme Executive/Hindi Officer informed about the various programmes during the ensuing Hindi Fortnight celebration. Shri Shibu George, Programme Executive proposed vote of thanks.
