Port Blair, Sept 14: A cultural programme was organized at Seva Niketan recently as part of observance of Hindi Fortnight 2015. Inmates of Seva Niketan presented poems, songs and speeches in Hindi during the function, which was anchored by Laxmi Mazumder, CH Puja and Pinki Rani Das. The Secretary, Seva Niketan, Mr Mangat Ram was also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Seva Niketan also celebrated Teachers’ Day on Sept 5 in its premises. The former Associate Professor of JNRM, Dr Govind Singh Pawar was the chief guest of the function. In his address, Dr Pawar stressed on the importance of cleanliness, discipline and honesty in everybody’s life. Dr Pawa, Smt Shakuntala Pawar, teachers, Mr Parshish, Mr Sanjya Prasad and Mr Karan Halder were felicitated on the occasion. Earlier, the Secretary, Seva Niketan, Mr Mangat Ram welcomed the gathering. Mr A Chakraborthy proposed the vote of thanks.
