Mayabunder, September 13: Safety near R P Hospital, Mayabunder during night has become a major concern, the reason being darkness all over R P Hospital due to non- functioning of number of Street Lights except one.
According to reports, the mortuary of the hospital is located near the vehicle parking area and is surrounded by forest. Hence presence of snakes is common at the place.
It has become very difficult for patients and visitors to go to the hospital during night hours due to darkness.
When Andaman Sheekha contacted the higher authorities of the hospital regarding the issue, it was very surprising that the authorities were unaware of this issue.
