Every year, the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great Philosopher and noted Educationist, is celebrated as Teachers’ Day across the country.
As individuals who help the successive flow of wisdom and skills from one generation to another, Teachers play an important role in grooming the youth. On this Day, as we celebrate and honour the contribution of Teachers and their noble profession towards the well-being of our Nation, we must also reflect on the challenges that India faces in ensuring that those still in shadows of illiteracy are given an opportunity to be educated. I am confident that as long as our country has dedicated Teachers at its service, we will not falter from the path of development and progress.
On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, I extend my warm greetings and felicitations to the teaching fraternity and exhort them to continue to work with competence and commitment.
