Port Blair, Aug 31: The Port Blair Municipal Council, on Monday, bid farewell to two employees, who retired from government service. At a simple function, the Chairperson, Mr M Arumugam handed over cheques of all retirement benefits including GPF, gratuity and other monetary benefits to Mr P Chinnappan, Lineman, JE-1 (Water Works) and Mr P Rama Rao, Works Assistant, JE (Maintenance). Senior officials of the Council were also present on the occasion. The PBMC Chairperson recalled the valuable services rendered by the employees to the civic body and wished them happy post-retirement life. He also presented mementoes to the employees.
