Port Blair, Aug 31: A special drive against Excise raid has been conducted during the month of August, 2015 in South Andaman Sub Division in connection with forthcoming Municipal/Panchayat Election. Total 101 excise cases have been detected and 102 accused persons were arrested from the spot. Total 331 bottles of 750 ml, 31 bottles of 180 ml and 163 bottles of 650 ml beer were seized from the possession of accused person. All the arrested persons were booked under appropriate section of A&N Excise Regulation, 1876.
The general public is requested to pass on any credible information pertaining to illegal sale of liquor or any other illegal activities on the following telephone numbers 233077, 250525, 232400, 232405 & 100. The identity of the informer will be kept secret.
