Port Blair, Aug 24: The project implementation and monitoring committee meeting was held recently in the office of Unnati. Mr Hemant Songadkar, General Manager NABARD, Mr PVK Farooq, Lead Bank Manager SBI, Mr Ravinder Rao, Managing Director, A & N State Cooperative Bank, Mr C.Mohammed, President Unnati and other officials of NABARD, ANSCB, Unnati and representatives of SHGs attended the meeting and reviewed NABARD supported schemes for SHGs, JLGs, EDP Programmes. The issue relating to equipping the sale counter allotted to SHGs by Lt Governor, A&N Islands for marketing products was also discussed during the meeting and important decisions taken for effective implementation of NABARD supported schemes, said Shaima Shamim, Secretary, Unnati, in a release.
