Diglipur, Aug 21: As it is expected during the season of finalising the names of candidate for the Panchayat and Municipal elections, various reports of internal disputes within major political parties are being reported from various Islands.
According to reports, a team of BJP workers yesterday expressed their anger and shouted slogan infront of Dhrua Lodge of Diglipur Island.
As per report, the workers were expressing their anger against BJP State General Secretary Mr Tarango Dhali, BJP Mahila Morcha, Mrs Anushiya Devi and the Andaman Nicobar BJP Party Unit for delaying in finalisation of the name of the candidate for fourth coming panchayat election from Diglipur region.
As the last date of filing nomination is 26 August 2015 the candidates have started panicking.
According to reports BJP general secretary Mr Tarango Dhali, BJP Mahila Morcha, Mrs Anushiya Devi were conducting interview of candidates for giving tickets to contest the coming election at the lodge.
Meanwhile at Baratang one of the Senior Congress leader and sitting Zilla Parishad member of Congress, Mr Khurma Rao today told Andaman Sheekha that he had already written the resignation letter to quit Congress, which will be submitted tomorrow. While many believe it’s an arm twisting move to compel Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the President of ANTCC to give congress ticket to Mr. Khurma Rao to contest the ZP elections from Baratang once again Rao party supporters maintained that he will not change his decision to leave the party.
It is believed that in coming days Islanders will be able to witness more political drama in Islands.
