Diglipur, Aug 18: In a shocking incident a person has been believed to be murdered by a villager of his own village with a broken Umbrella.
Police suspects that there was some fight between two people, Mr. Srinivasan and Mr. Ramachandran of Keralapuram Village of Diglipur, which took ugly shape. In incident took place inside victim’s house and both were said to be under heavy influence of liquor.
The matter came to the light when grievously injured Mr. Ramachandran, a farmer by profession reached to his neighbor, a ninety year old lady, for help.
As the attacker was coming from behind the lady reportedly asked the victim to run for his life. The victim however chose to return to his house and the attacker reportedly followed him.
Meanwhile the lady informed a number of people over phone and by the time public and police reached the spot Mr. Ramachandran had suffered more injuries. As per report before he could be shifted to hospital he succumbed to his injuries.
The other person Mr. Srinivasan, a retired forest labour, was found in unconscious state because of heavy consumption of liquor.
Mr. Srinivasan was later admitted in CHC Diglipur, where police is waiting to record his statement in this case. The Post Mortem is done and PS Diglipur is investigating the matter. The broken umbrella and a wooden club were recovered from the murder site by police.
