Port Blair, Aug 12: A delegation of Civil Rights Protection Forum, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Port Blair met Dr Mahesh Sharma, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation, GOI on 05.08.2015 and raised the issue of exorbitant air-fare between mainland India and Port Blair.
The Minister gave a cordial and patient hearing assuring further that after his recent visit to Andaman he is seriously exercising the issue particularly in view of vast natural resources of the islands territory with unexplored scope of tourism development. The islanders may hope a positive result in public interest in near future.
