Port Blair, Aug 04: After Andaman Sheekha reported issue about mishandling of family member of an Ex-Serviceman the ANC has taken prompt action.
In a communication, the Public Relations Officer of Andaman Nicobar Command, Col Yogesh Sharma today said that the CCTV footage at Jarawa Canteen has been analysed in detail and it emerges that the incident took place due to provocation. Nevertheless, disciplinary action has been initiated against the concerned Civilian Staff and Show Cause Notice has been issued.
Regarding mistake in last clarification, he added that it was “Mrs” Khurma Rao, who had visited the Canteen on 31 July. “Hence reference to Mrs Khurma Rao as Mr Khurma Rao in this HQ even number letter dated 03 Aug 2015 on this subject was a typographical error which is regretted,” he added.
